King David University of Medical Sciences is located in Uburu, Ohaozara LGA in Ebonyi State, Nigeria. The Ebonyi State House of Assembly named the university after the Governor of Ebonyi State in honor of the Governor’s exceptional infrastructural development and exemplary leadership.
The goal to increase the quality of workforce development in the health sector and the quality of healthcare in Nigeria and the West African sub-region led to the foundation of this university. The University’s main purpose is to build vital abilities and knowledge in the health sciences in the most conducive learning environment possible while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism, ethics, and excellence.

Medicine & Surgery.
For Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MB.BS), admitted students stay a minimum of 6 academic years (for UTME students) or 5 academic years (for Direct entry students) to qualify for the degree.
For Bachelor of Nursing (BN.Sc), admitted students stay a minimum of 5 academic years (for UTME students) or 4 academic years (for Direct entry students) to qualify for the degree.
Medical Laboratory Science
The Medical Laboratory Sciences degree program provides students with a broad and balanced foundation of medical laboratory knowledge and practical skills; performing effectively in clinical diagnostic services, academics, and quality assurance.
The program was for a Bachelor of Pharmacy (B. Pharm) degree in the Department of Pharmacy. The vision of the Faculty of Pharmacy is to produce graduates whose qualifications would be of world-class standard.
Physiotherapy includes the evaluation, treatment, or prevention of disability, injury, disease, or other conditions of health, using physical, chemical, and mechanical means including but not limited to heat, cold, light air, water, sound, and electricity, massage, mobilization.
The Department is in line with the belief of the Faculty that optimal public health education can be achieved in an institution of higher learning that provides a foundation for general education in the various sciences.
